There's a longer road behind this work.
About Me
I spent nearly twenty years in services, marketing, and tech before I became a therapist. I was good at the work — strategic, relentless, curious — but I kept finding myself more interested in the people than the products. In the relationships underneath the organizations. In what made someone feel seen or invisible, connected or alone.
I left that career to pursue a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy at Northwestern University's Family Institute. It was not a small decision. I had two young children, a husband, and a life that didn't pause for a career change.
My clinical specialties didn't come from a textbook. They came from living. I have a fertility journey that spans more than two decades. I've had two profoundly different births — one during the height of COVID, isolated and afraid, which cracked me open in ways I'm still understanding. And another that healed me in profound ways, literally and figuratively. I work with couples on desire and disconnection because I know what both feel like from the inside. I work with men who feel lonely in their relationships because I've sat across from that loneliness and recognized it as something real, solvable, and often invisible.
I am a cis-het Latina. I am a mother, a wife, a friend, and a colleague. I bring all of that into the room and I understand what the stakes actually are.
My approach is integrative and systemic. I draw on Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and attachment theory. I am trauma-informed, culturally humble, and direct. I will not tell you what you want to hear if what you need to hear is more useful.
I believe most people don't need to be fixed. They need to be better understood. By themselves, and by the people closest to them. That's the work.
